Briglia Boatworks
Briglia Boat Works is a unique team of skilled craftsmen presenting a high- end traditional- yet custom- sport fishing boat with the lines and performance of tomorrow. Unlike mass production manufacturers, Briglia builds a maximum of tow to three boats at a time, paying special attention to detail. Incorporating the traditional form of a Carolina sport fishing boat, the contour is distinguished by a pronounced flare and hook-shaped bow stem. Wide walkways along the cabin sides, along with a spacious cockpit, make for easy travel from forward to aft.
Kyle Briglia is the owner and manager of Briglia Boat Works, and he takes great pride in the vessels that bear his name. Kyle spent his childhood around commercial and charter fishing boats, and at 15 even built his own 36’ work boat alongside the documented pioneer of the Chesapeake Deadrise, Billy Moor. This experience ratified Briglia’s determination to one day make a living doing exactly what he loved: bringing boats to life. On his journey to making that dream a reality, Briglia owned and operated a successful charter boat business. It was during this time that he cut his teeth on some of the most dangerous waters in North America, it’s here where he learned why and what makes his boats perform so dynamically.
Along the way, Briglia caught the attention of legendary boat builder Bill Baum, who became a major influence and mentor. Impressed with Briglia’s dedication and attention to quality, Baum joined the fledgling Briglia Boatworks and brought with him his fifty years of boat building experience. The partnership gave birth to the now famous Baum hull that, in collaboration with Briglia’s attention to detail and his experience, resulted in a design of exceptional performance, ultimate comfort and supreme stability for all sea conditions.
